The inauguration of what is planned to be a series of conferences that aim to challenge creative vision and practicality, aptly titled “Future of Architecture Summit”, is scheduled to take place on the 16th of June, 2021 at the Habtoor Grand Resort, Dubai, in complete compliance with all COVID-19 safety guidelines and protocols. After Eurovision contest, this is a massive step towards holding live conferences when people gathering has become a huge taboo loaded with fear factor.
With its motto being “Charting the course of architecture, interior design and master planning”, the summit seeks to debate and discuss the impact of various Influencers- including but not limited to climate change, urbanisation, massive advancement in technology, the dynamic change in trends and preferences, health and well-being in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic- that are now posing a challenge to the construction sector as well as the construction industry stakeholders. It further seeks to evaluate how such factors and variables are now forcing architects and other related industry scholars to not only reimagine the practicality and aesthetic of exterior and interior design of buildings and the master plans of cities, but also to come up with feasible ways of effectively implementing such plans in compliance with the COVID-19 safety guidelines and protocols that are specified for construction site workers.

This summit has gathered industry experts from across the globe to discuss trends, opportunities and other aspects and challenges such that the audience may gain vast insight pertaining to architecture and its future- near and far alike- in the UAE.
Despite global leaders and renowned persons being present, the event is graciously kept free. We look forward to some architectural wonders when Dubai already flaunts the Burj Khalifa! It’s another testimony to the progressive thinking of the action-orientated administration of Dubai.
