¨The first time I see a jogger smiling, I’ll consider it. ¨ – Joan Rivers
I don’t think most people enjoy their workouts; they were doing it to lose weight, be skinny, or reach some body goal. And when they did work out, they were sweaty, tired, and often quite sore. People never see the fun side of fitness, which is super unfortunate. I am early riser, that helps me to build in fitness into my life. Lack of time should never be an excuse, just 15 minutes spread out throughout the day, is helpful too.
How do I enjoy my workouts?
I learned the way to train my mind to think in the first place via my body. My daily regimen helps me stay focused and provides me with an abundance of positivity to carry me through the day. When I finish my morning workout routine, I feel energized and ready to take on the challenges that the day has in store for me. Fitness is a haven from reality since it allows me to forget about my business worries and gives me a new perspective on them.
Some of the activities I really enjoy:
- Hiking- To keep hiking fun; one needs to be prepared to beat problems that could happen while you’re out, like finding the trail if you get lost or stuck in bad weather. Make sure you bring a map of the area you’ll be hiking in and a sturdy compass. etc.
- Yoga- There are a lot of reasons why yoga is one of my favourite activities, and the list fluctuates depending on what’s going on in my life. When you learn a new, demanding asana, you will feel a sense of joy and accomplishment similar to when you master any other sort of physical activity. However, with yoga, you don’t have to wait till you’ve reached an intermediate level to enjoy it.
- Gym workouts- My ideal day starts with my morning workouts, followed by an hour of gym. I complement it with boxing and weight training, which boosts my endurance and enhances my mood tremendously. This has proved to be the perfect way to start my day.
As I already stated, the enjoyable stuff is the gateway drug. That’s precisely the point: exercising should never seem like a punishment. You’ll be able to try more routines once you’ve found one you enjoy and become more comfortable with fitness. You should only move in a way that not only makes your body happy, but also makes your brain happy!
